Your eco-friendly skiing holiday. So close.
Potential savings in terms of ecology and sustainability have always played a crucial role in the corporate culture of all SkiWelt mountain railway businesses.
For over 20 years, the entire ski resort has been powered by 100 % green electricity from Tyrolean hydropower. Back in 2008, we built the world’s 1st solar-powered lift and the first solar panel systems at lift stations. We also use waste heat from the mountain railways to heat mountain restaurants and garages. We continually optimize all of the processes involved. SkiWelt has been using a snow measuring system across the entire area since 2017. It allows us to save 20 % on snow-making resources (electricity and water) every year. New projects are always being added, such as expansion of the solar panel systems in 2022. This results in around 50 % of energy cost savings for the building facilities. SkiWelt businesses will continue to optimize processes and work areas and conserve resources.
However, this doesn’t mean compromising on what we offer our customers or on our service quality. You can still look forward to SkiWelt’s normal quality and service standards. The prices set in February also will not change.
